We are seeking qualified candidates for the Treasury Manager position at our corporate facility located in Glen Allen, VA. This role will be responsible for the management of the organization's global treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, investment strategies, and risk management. This role ensures the efficient use of financial resources, manages banking relationships, and mitigates financial risks. The Treasury Manager works closely with the finance and accounting teams to support the company's overall financial goals. This position is hybrid, on-site 3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Cash Management
    • Monitor daily cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
    • Forecast cash flow on a short, medium, and long-term basis.
    • Optimize the use of working capital, identifying surplus cash for investment or other strategic uses
  • Investment Management
    1. Manage the company's investment portfolio, evaluating and recommending appropriate investments to maximize returns while minimizing risk.
    2. Monitor interest rates and market trends to optimize investment strategies.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency exchange, interest rate risks, and market volatility.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
    • Implement hedging strategies when necessary to minimize risk exposure.
  • Debt and Financing
    • Manage corporate debt, ensuring optimal capital structure and cost of funds.
    • Negotiate financing arrangements and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
    • Monitor and report on covenant compliance and other obligations related to debt.
  • Banking Relationships
    • Maintain and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
    • Ensure the cost-effective use of banking services and negotiate favorable terms.
    • Monitor and manage bank fees and related expenses.
  • Reporting
    • Prepare regular reports on cash flow, investment performance, and financial risk exposures for senior management.
    • Support the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
    • Provide strategic input for financial decision-making.
  • Treasury Systems and Controls
    • Implement and maintain treasury management systems for efficient cash and risk management.
    • Ensure robust internal controls within the treasury function to safeguard assets.
    • Continuously assess and improve processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax regulations, banking requirements, and corporate governance standards.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors regarding treasury operations.

Requirements of the position include:

  • 5 years in corporate treasury, finance or related field
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting treasury operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external financial partners.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience with international treasury operations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is preferred.
