Job Description

The Vertex Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. We will have various positions within our functional areas, including but not limited to:

  • Commercial Technology Business Analyst: In this internship, you will work with the Veeva CRM team and cross functional partners to identify and understand the key functionality of the Global Veeva CRM platform at Vertex. This internship is an opportunity to become familiar with the Field CRM program at Vertex and play a critical role in ensuring platform scalability and health.
  • Conferencing and Event Support Technician: This intern will work on the Core Technology Audio/Video Collaboration team to partner with conference room and event support.
  • CPEAO & MWS: The person in this role will be an integral part of Vertex's DTE CPEAO & MWS team. This intern will help support applications managed by our team that aid in the preparation, review, and management of clinical/regulatory/medical communications and publications. They will contribute to project teams with requirements gathering, business analysis, implementation, or maintenance of a system or tool.
  • Cybersecurity: This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity, cloud (AWS) and application security. The candidate for this role will assist with migrating automation processes to serverless architecture, enhancing security alerting mechanisms, and improving our overall cloud security posture. A successful individual will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity for exploring challenges and developing innovative solutions. This internship is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to enhance their skills in application and cloud security while gaining practical experience in a rapidly growing space.
  • G&A, Financial Applications: The person in this role will be a supportive member of Vertex's DTE G&A team and the global DTE organization. This intern will specifically help support financial applications which enable the organization to function optimally financially by supporting the technology behind strategic investing, banking, procurement, and additional operational competencies. This will include tasks such as implementation, automation, reporting, maintenance, configuration, audit, and more.
  • GMDA, GCO, and Clinical Development: The person in this role will be a supportive member of Vertex's DTE GMDA team for GCO and Clinical Development. This intern will specifically support the build and configuration of our Business Analysis process and delivery of business requirements for individual projects within Clinical Operations. This will enable the organization to function optimally by organizing our business requirements gathering practices across our several Clinical Trial Business Capabilities as well as various GCO DTE Projects. This will include tasks such as implementation, reporting, and configuration.
  • Marketing Technology: The Marketing Technology (MarTech) Intern will serve as a technical resource for supporting the DTE Commercial MarTech team across Web, Email and Content platforms. The role will provide support managing global implementation projects and platform enhancement projects across Commercial, Medical and Corporate Communications.
  • Project Management & Strategic Operations Business Analyst: collaborate closely with experienced professionals across IT and business teams, assisting in refining project reporting, improving data accuracy, and helping to optimize processes within our project management tools and systems. This internship provides valuable exposure to project management best practices in a dynamic, supportive, and team-oriented environment.
  • Project Management & Strategic Operations Knowledge Management: collaborate closely with experienced professionals, contributing to the streamlining of document management processes, optimizing our knowledge repository within Microsoft Teams, and ensuring the efficient organization of project artifacts. This internship offers valuable exposure to knowledge management best practices in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment.
  • Quality Regulatory: The person in this role will be a member of DTE Quality & Regulatory team. This intern will contribute to project teams with requirements gathering, coordination of new technology assessments etc. The intern will also help support applications managed by our team, including support of change control processes, report development etc.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2025
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from May - August 2025
