The Position:

  • Promoting & ensuring safety.
  • Understanding & complying with all MSHA regulations. Works closely with all team members, including safety department, to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Ensuring compliance with all environmental needs & requirements.
  • Engaging in and maintaining a first-class culture consistent with company values.
  • Becoming familiar with all mining related equipment within the manufacturing department as assigned.
  • Defining, planning, and executing mining related projects.
  • Conducting and analyzing feasibility studies. Making project recommendations based on findings.
  • Developing crusher and wash plant design including but not limited to layout, equipment, material flow, throughput, stockpile locations etc.
  • Scopes projects, solicits, compares, and summarizes bid summaries in presentable format.
  • Providing project progress updates including, but not limited to: Schedule, submittals, change orders, budget vs actual, invoice status etc.
  • Managing subcontractors when performing work on projects.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices, assigning costs to proper projects.
  • Managing capital improvement projects.
  • Completing special projects as assigned.
  • Ensuring professional and positive demeaner.

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, construction management, mine engineering or related.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the aggregate and or mining industry.
  • Must be safety oriented including detailed knowledge of the Mine Safety & Health Administration safety regulations, compliance and inspection process required.
  • Experience with all aspects of quarry operations management including permitting, earthmoving, crushing and washing production, load out and subcontractor management.
  • Experienced in reading and analyzing complex engineered plans and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of mining equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and Equipment360 software knowledge preferred.
  • Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD & AggFLOW.
  • Lean six sigma certifications a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Primary location greater Milwaukee WI Area with the ability to travel locally and regionally.
  • Must be a team player.
