We are seeking qualified candidates for a Sr. Accountant, Consolidations at our Corporate facility located in Glen Allen, VA. This role will be responsible for recording, monitoring, maintaining, processing, closing and reconciling the Company's intercompany transactions in a timely and accurate manner. This position will be responsible for executing accounting activities for foreign subsidiaries and other general ledger activities in accordance with financial standards and other company policies, SOX and other regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for assisting with initiatives to drive standardization, process improvement and optimization across the subsidiaries. This position is hybrid, on-site 3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Execute legal entity IC accounting activities -monitoring, processing, reconciling intercompany transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage various areas of accounting including calculating and recording entries based on intercompany agreements, prepare and validate intercompany reconciliations including resulting entries.
  • Assist in subsidiary financial reporting
  • Raising and settlement of IC invoices in line with all applicable requirements: accounting, legal, tax, and treasury
  • Active role in monthly closing process. Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, quarterly analyses for management reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, Tax accounting rules along with SOX where applicable.
  • Manage foreign subsidiaries statutory financial statement audits.

Requirements of the position include:

  • 3-5 years' work experience in accounting, preferably intercompany accounting with a multi-national corporation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong PC skills and exposure to ERP systems, Intercompany accounting in multinational corporation, Sarbanes Oxley, and SEC Reporting
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data
  • CPA (Preferred)
