The General Maintenance Staff I performs a variety of maintenance and repair activities including preventive maintenance for our residential and office site locations. The General Maintenance Staff I will receive maintenance requests from Facilities Supervisors, Facilities Administrative Assistants and the Maintenance Team Leader to support all facility activities. This position will be responsible for proactively troubleshooting, diagnosing and executing preventive and corrective maintenance on residential home sites. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Typical Repairs: o Windows o Doors, door locks and other door hardware o Plaster, drywall and other building structures o Light fixtures o Minor plumbing

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE One years' experience in residential or commercial facilities maintenance. Excellent verbal communication skills and computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook (email) are required. High School diploma or GED required. Other Requirements:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear and frequently uses hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands/arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch, and may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee must seek assistance or use appropriate devices when lifting or carrying items over 50 lbs. |
