PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
(2nd Shift) Department: 06598 - Production Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time Reports to (Title): 2nd Shift Superintendent FLSA: Exempt - Salaried Job Summary: Provide direct supervision to hourly employees in the manufacturing and packaging of meat products. Train, direct, coach and lead the production work team in the day-to-day operations to meet production, safety, quality and sanitation requirements. Drive the communication of production goals and objectives as well as results in order to effectively motivate the team to maintain a high standard of product quality while maximizing plant efficiencies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures standard operating procedures and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Quality requirements are followed at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience requirement Minimum:
Preferred: College Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, Industrial Technology, Business, etc. and/or related field preferred. Two years quality experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Language and Technical Skills requirement

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. When the employee is required to perform duties in the production area, the employee will be continuously exposed to temperatures ranging from 35 - 45 degrees. The noise level in the work environment is sufficient to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Personal Protective Equipment is required.
