Overview
Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the organization by supporting the training needs of military personnel. We're looking for a versatile team player who is skilled across various trades rather than someone with a specific license. The location is primarily Camp Mackall, North Carolina with additional travel and duties at Fort Liberty and central North Carolina, as required by training. Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Provide support to enhance supply management, repair, and maintenance of training ranges as needed, ensuring optimal functionality for testing and training purposes.
- Qualified in one of the relevant trades-carpentry, electrical work, masonry, welding, plumbing, wheeled vehicle maintenance, grounds maintenance, or roofing.
- Primary work location at Camp MacKall, North Carolina, with additional responsibilities at Fort Liberty and other locations in central North Carolina as training demands.
Environmental Conditions:
- Capable of working in diverse environments, including extreme heat, cold, humidity, dampness, and noise.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, solvents, grease, flammable materials, electrical hazards, and uneven surfaces.
- Tasks may involve working around machinery, moving objects, on ladders or scaffolding, at great heights, or below ground.
- Ability to handle unusual fatigue, vibration, and collaborate closely with others or work independently.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical work, masonry, welding, plumbing, wheeled vehicle mechanics, grounds maintenance, roofing, or inventory control/supply.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Capability to operate effectively in an austere field environment under various weather conditions, both day and night.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to multi-task in order to complete project.
- Proven experience with trades listed above.
- Must be able to perform labor and complete construction projects by their due dates.
