Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time faculty fixed-term, to join our department. The position can be assistant or associate professor rank depending on experience and eligibility. This role will be primarily clinical.

Clinical responsibilities will include providing adult outpatient neuropsychological evaluations in the Divisions of Cognitive Neurology, and in pre-surgical evaluations in the Divisions of Epilepsy and Movement Disorders. Typical reasons for referral include neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory disorders, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease or demyelinating disease causing cognitive and/or behavioral impairment. The successful applicant will be expected to supervise one or more psychometrists as well as to work within several multidisciplinary subspecialty clinics to provide real-time case discussions with colleagues and feedback to patients. Preference for applicants with previous experience in the use of brief screening batteries, digital and remote assessment as well as pre- and post-neurosurgical evaluations, Wada testing, language mapping during open craniotomies, and specific capacity evaluations.

This academic appointment requires providing tertiary clinical services, teaching trainees and medical students. Dedicated teaching at all levels including medical students, residents and fellows through lectures, seminars, conferences, and grand rounds is required. Participation in clinical research and extramural scholarly activities in the form of publications and service to professional organizations is encouraged.

The North Carolina Research Triangle Park ( RTP) metropolitan area is a regional community with over 1.3 million residents. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D.in clinical psychology/neuropsychology from an APA accredited psychology doctoral program. The candidate should be licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.

Qualified candidates will have completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship with a neuropsychology emphasis and 2-years of post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology in an academic medical center.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
