Commercial Business Rotational Development Internship (Jacksonville, FL)

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will be 4 days inside our Jacksonville, FL office and 1 day remotely.

First Citizens Bank's Equipment Finance division is looking for motivated future leaders beginning their careers to join its rotational development program (to begin on a full-time basis post-graduation). The program begins with an exciting 10-week internship. At the end of the internship, qualified candidates will be offered a place within the rotational development program to begin the following summer. The program is designed to develop high potential associates into future leaders by providing them with learning, development, and varied roles to provide critical foundational knowledge about our business and the industry.

Equipment Finance provides leasing and financing solutions to small businesses and middle market companies in a wide range of industries on both a private label and direct basis. We provide financing solutions for our borrowers and lessees, and assist manufacturers and distributors in growing sales, profitability, and customer loyalty by providing customized, value-added finance solutions to their commercial clients.

Associates in the internship will spend the majority of their time focused on a project in which they will tackle a challenging real business problem. In addition to the project, each associate will work with a team to build their skills through tangible experiences in a leading equipment finance organization. The internship culminates with a capstone presentation to Equipment Finance's senior leadership. Throughout the internship, participants will be given regular feedback from management and will be paired with managers who will work to ensure their success.

In this role, you will:

• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects. Accountability can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process, or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during time of summer program)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Additional Qualifications:

• Juniors pursuing a BA/BS/BBA degree.
• 3.0 minimum GPA
• Ability to work independently and deliver an objective.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others.
• Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs
• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
