Performs specimen procurement and/or processing of laboratory specimens. Provides laboratory support functions. Organizes and performs tasks efficiently to meet departmental turnaround time standards. Performs computer data entry, laboratory processes including sterile technique, aliquoting and/or phlebotomy Processes specimens for laboratory testing. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Full time40 hours per week. This is the evening shift: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Sign-on Bonus: This position is eligible for a $2000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates. Eligible candidates must be newly hired to UH. University Hospitals is offering a $2,000 sign on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for designated regular Phlebotomy positions. Internal Applicants are not eligible for the sign on bonus.
