Sales Representative Internship Summer 2027

Internship Overview

As a Sales Representative Intern, you'll learn the ins and outs of selling essential services in a fast-paced, mission-driven industry. You'll support our sales team in prospecting new clients, nurturing relationships, and helping businesses and residents find the right waste solutions. This would be located at our site in either Nashville, TN or Elk Grove Village, IL just outside of Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and qualifying new sales leads
• Support outbound outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits
• Help prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations for potential clients
• Maintain CRM records and track customer interactions
• Shadow experienced sales reps on client meetings and site visits
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
• Collaborate with operations to ensure service alignment with customer needs
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving sales strategy
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with clients and handling objections
• Self-motivated and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
• Interest in sustainability, logistics, or service-based industries is a bonus
