Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics/RRT-NICU

• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent, proficient acute care experience. Level III NICU experience accepted; Level IV NICU preferred.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; Candidates with additional jobs must work this contract as their primary schedule, including every other weekend.
• Accept 1st Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted: A reduced local rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles of their primary work location.
• RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: All scheduling requests, including up to 5 days of RTO, must be included with submission and approved by the facility.
• On Call Requirement: No

• Active New Jersey Respiratory Care License required at the time of submission.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT

• Floating: May be required to float within skillset
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue

• MUST have experience with Jet/oscillator ventilation & Nitric Oxide (iNO)
• High-risk deliveries; Neonatal transport; Capillary/Umbilical blood gases; Bubble CPAP; CPAP/BiPAP; Bivent; IMV/SIMV; Pressure/Volume ventilation; Intubation Assist; BPD; RDS; RSV; TTN; Near drowning
• Aerosol therapy (mask/trach); Medihaler; MDI; Albuterol; Atrovent; Bicarbonate; Combivent; Flovent; Inhaled Flolan & steroids; Lidocaine; Mucomyst; Perforomist; Pulmicort; Racemic epinephrine; Spiriva; Terbutaline; Theophylline; Tobramycin; Xopenex
• Bag-mask ventilation; ET Tube; HFNC; Oxygen tanks; T-piece/Trach collar; Flow-by; Mechanical ventilation weaning; Patient transport; Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms; ARDS; Aspiration; COVID; Cystic fibrosis; Fresh tracheostomy/care & management; Trach collar; Pneumonia
• Chest physiotherapy (manual/vest); ABG collection/interpretation; Bronchoscopy; Extubation; Intubation Assist; Nasal & Oral airway placement/suctioning; Pulmonary hygiene; Sputum collection; ETT/NT Hand-held nebulizer; T-piece

• Will not accept Travel Pairs
• Prior permanent employees are not eligible.

54-bed Level IV NICU within a state-designated Regional Perinatal Center. The NICU provides the highest level of neonatal care for critically ill and medically complex newborns, supported by respiratory therapists providing advanced ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and high-risk neonatal resuscitation.
