THE POSITION

Are you organized and detail-oriented? The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Division of Facility Support, is looking for a Management Technician to help improve how our buildings and equipment are cared for. In this job, you will help create and manage maintenance plans that keep our facilities safe and working well. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role helps maintain safe and reliable building systems by supporting preventive maintenance activities and equipment tracking. As a Management Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Coordinate inspections and maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment
  • Data Analysis: Review maintenance records to identify trends that improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Record Management: Maintain accurate equipment histories and standard procedures to support informed decisions
  • Operational Support: Work with maintenance staff and contractors to prioritize tasks and ensure compliance
  • Equipment Planning: Evaluate replacement needs and provide recommendations that guide long term planning
  • Process Improvement: Recommend changes that enhance efficiency and reduce maintenance costs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
