Hiring Range: $15.80 per hour to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience. Work Schedule: Friday-Monday Noon-10:30pm Position Summary:The Front desk agent will performconcierge-relatedduties at a high professional level and will support guests in every manner both on the phone, via email and in person. - The Front-Desk agent will Demonstrate kindness and the Golden Rule in our everyday actions by practicing inclusion and respect for every person for the value they bring to the table. - Answer guest calls, e-mails, and record details of each for future follow-up.
- Assistcustomers with planning and booking reservations for Best Friends Lodging. Options, available rooms, rates, and amenities.Upselling rooms and providing information on promotions.
- Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure prompt responses to guests' needs.
- Make reservations or appointments for guests who want to avail themselves of local entertainment orservices
- Meet and exceed guests' expectations byanticipatingthe services they mightrequireand suggesting localvenues
- Maintain constant communication with guests and other Roadhouse departments and staff members.
- Supports all Roadhouse departments and Best Friends Sanctuary ExperienceDivision andas assigned.
- Overseesdaily Roadhouse & Mercantile operations including checking-in/out of guests,assistingguests with recommendations, requests and local activities, processing of payments and otherguest -oriented tasks as needed. Resolve guest issues and ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Verifies revenue from all sources is accurately balanced and follows up on any discrepancies; ensures room charges and taxes are properly posted to guest folios.
- Performs occasional housekeeping, property cleaning as necessary,
Skills and Experience:
- One to two years related customer service experience preferred.
- Must haveproficiencywith a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, research, and presentation software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,Teamsand related software).
- Accurate,appropriate,clearand concise written and verbal communication skills. Strong listening skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment withdemonstratedability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Experienceininteracting with thegeneral public(customer service) preferred. Demonstrates approachability when dealing with thegeneral public.
- Strong interpersonal skills, i.e., ability to develop positive relationships with others anddemonstratesensitivity to the thoughts,feelingsand perspectives of others.
- Demonstrates personal accountability to ensure that all responsibilities are completed effectively andin a timely manner.
- Must be willing toworkweekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to routinely lift 30-40pounds
- Must be ok with exposure to various animalallergens
- Must be able to perform physical activity on a frequent basis, including, but not limitedtowalking up/down stairs, lifting and carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting,cleaningand bending.
