Under general supervision of the Oncology leadership, our Administrative Specialist Per Diem will work as needed in all administrative areas within Oncology, including Registration, Return Scheduling, New Intake, and the Communication Center. Locations include the NC Cancer Hospital, Hillsborough, and Parkline departments. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Responsibilities will vary per departmental needs. General responsibilities include:
- Registering/scheduling patients by completing check-in/out processes
- Complex coordination of appointments
- Requesting external records
- Departmental daily reports
- Answering calls
- Sorting faxes
- Scanning documents
- Responding to messages
- Other general duties as assigned

Education Requirements: * High School diploma or GED Licensure/Certification Requirements: * No licensure or certification required. Professional Experience Requirements: * Two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience * If Bachelor's degree, no years of clerical or administrative experience * If Associate's degree, one (1) year of clerical or administrative experience Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: * Customer Focus: makes the customer and their needs their top priority and goes the extra mile to satisfy their customers. Effectively uses Microsoft office products in order to produce reports and documents.
