Team Overview

Argus Advisory is a TransUnion Company and the leading provider of analytics, information and solutions to financial services providers to help them grow their businesses. We help clients maximize the value of data and analytics to allocate and align resources to strategic objectives, manage and mitigate risk (default, fraud, funding and compliance), and optimize financial objectives. This role will act as a key Analyst of the Argus US team and will partner and collaborate with other associates in the Argus US team to support relationships with key clients.

This role reports directly to Manager II of the Business Operations division. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • Act as a key Analyst supporting analytics using the Argus Consortia dataset.
  • Leverage a unique, industry-leading data set and synthesize large volumes of data into easily understood, actionable analyses and presentations that support clients' strategic visions.
  • Present findings to management in a clear, concise format using best-in-class visualization techniques, clearly written commentary, and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Take ownership of key client deliverables
  • Partner and collaborate with other associates across the Argus US team to support relationships with key clients.
  • Participate in and/or manage internal and client-facing projects.
  • Build industry knowledge through exposure to a diverse range of strategies deployed by Argus clients, including large financial institutions.
  • Utilize data analytics tools including SQL, AWS, SAS, or other data mining and statistical software to support analyses.
  • Create data visualizations using Tableau or other visualization software to communicate findings effectively.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple high-profile assignments in parallel.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Behavioral Economics, Finance, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field required to support advanced analytical and quantitative work.
  • Experience in data analytics with SQL and/or AWS, SAS, or other data mining or statistical software to develop analyses and client deliverables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, commercial acumen, and attention to detail to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to take on challenging unstructured assignments with little supervision while delivering high-quality results.

Required Technical Skills

  • SQL (Structured Query Language) for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services), SAS, or other statistical/data mining tools for analytical development and data processing.
  • Tableau or other data visualization software to create impactful visual analyses and presentations.
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and client presentations.

Pay Scale Information: The U.S. base salary range for this position is $51,700.00 - $75,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
