Terracon is seeking a Senior Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to take the lead on impactful water resources projects while expanding your technical and leadership capabilities.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WANT:

  • 8+ years of experience

  • Project management skills in water resource design from concept through construction including preparing proposals, invoicing, project milestones, and achieving deadlines

  • Competence in client relationships and meeting facilitation

  • Team leading directing and mentoring junior staff

  • Stream and wetland restoration, dam design and the permitting and approval process

  • Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR), Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) preparation and processing

  • Sediment transport

  • Scour Analysis

  • State (PA DEP, MDE, etc.) and federal (EPA, FEMA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) wetland and waterway permit processing

  • Experience in preparing and processing designs and permits using PennDOT and/ or Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) standards

  • Competence in HEC-RAS 1D, HEC-RAS 2D, SRH2D SMS, HydroCAD, SWMM or similar software modeling.

  • ArcGIS

  • Computer Drafting skills (Civil 3D, MicroStation).

  • Proficiency in use of software for reports, presentations, and routine office administrative tasks.

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness and ability to occasionally travel and work as needed to meet schedules.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related degree.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration

  • Engineers preferred

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
