Job Summary:

Review all customer pricing, markets, and nationals for margin growth and opportunities. Oversees the setup and maintenance of all Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) and Local contract bids and order guides. Analyzes identify and propose actions to both purchasing and sales departments to ensure compliance with the Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) business and grow margin/profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall pricing strategy at the item level and review the accuracy on-going.
  • Analyze use of earned income, if necessary, to establish proper pricing structure.
  • Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
  • Review margin reports daily at customer and item level to ensure the operation company (OpCo) is making the correct adjusted gross profit.
  • Review top moving items for margin enhancement and make recommendations to purchasing departments.
  • Review markets daily and recommend price changes to customer bids and market and national cost.
  • Review all bids for correct pricing, i.e. suitability, adjusted gross profit, and case movement
  • Assist VP Purchasing/Sales in developing queries/reports.
  • Other duties as outlined by management



Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred



Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years pricing or similar type of experience


Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective written/oral communication skills, strong analytical skills


Decision Making Authority

  • Most important decisions made fully independently
  • Setting & submitting cost basis for CMU and Local contract business
  • Directing pricing coordinators on bid set up and communication with buyers and sales re: CMU business
  • Most important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required)
  • Which bids to delete or items delete off the bid, review with VP
