ROLE: Coordinator, Programming Operation

The Coordinator, Programming Operations works as part of the A&E, History, and Lifetime Scheduling, Acquisition and Strategy team. This role combines operational and administrative responsibilities. The position will work closely with the Director of Programming Operations to optimize programming processes and to refine the accuracy and integrity of critical program metadata. Additionally, the position includes coordinating cross-functional communications as well as providing direct administrative support to the EVP department head through calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense reporting. Finally, the role will include maintaining program schedules as needed.

A critical component of the position is managing the day-to-day operations of the Networks' greenlight process, serving as a central point of coordination among Programming, Production, Research, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and senior leadership teams. In this highly visible, forward-facing role, the Coordinator helps facilitate the distribution of materials, tracks project milestones and approvals, and ensures stakeholders are aligned throughout the decision-making process. The position offers significant exposure to executive leadership across the company and provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into content strategy, programming decisions, and the development lifecycle of original programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinator, Programming Operation

  • Help facilitate the monthly greenlight process for A&E, History, Lifetime, LMN and FYI. Responsibilities include assembling and distributing key documents for monthly and bi-weekly decks as well as coordinating key creative and financial details with internal departments including programming, finance, research, ad sales and global content sales.
  • Work closely with the Director of Programming Operations to manage the lifecycle of our content, ensuring all metadata is accurate and consistent from inception through each program's launch across downstream linear and digital platforms globally.
  • Support EVP Department Head by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and processing expenses as needed.
  • Program scheduling responsibilities as needed including entering linear schedule into What's On (internal scheduling software), creating air schedules, revisions, formats, piece number creation, etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects including building presentations as needed
  • Build and improve processes to utilize technology and AI to improve key departmental workflows.
  • The Coordinator should be collaborative and have a willingness to contribute to new programming strategies on linear and non-linear platforms.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

The Coordinator is required to have a high attention to detail. You'll have the opportunity to innovate and learn. You'll use both analytics and creativity in this role. You'll be asked for new ideas to help infuse the schedule with strength and to learn what drives the A&E and Lifetime audience. Finally, you'll be exposed to various A+E departments and stakeholders to learn the goals, needs and direction so you can become a trusted partner.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Coordinator, Programming Operation

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, film, television or related field
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be comfortable working independently with large datasets and complex operational systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication & organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
  • Knowledge and interest in the television programming and the pop culture competitive landscape
  • Strong interest in data analysis and applying data-based solutions is a plus
CompensationHourly Pay Range: $28.99 - $32.62 Annual Incentive Target: 5%
