The Automation Engineer must monitor and evaluate the performance and reliability of automated systems, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation. As a member of the Engineering team, the Automation Engineer will also be responsible for automation of production lines and integration of test equipment and to own and close corrective actions related to our automated systems. The Automation Engineer is part of the Engineering department and reports to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs, robots, and automated equipment. Support automation projects, process improvements, and equipment optimization. Conduct feasibility studies and implement efficiency improvements. Maintain SOPs, work instructions, maintenance records, drawings, and manuals. Manage tooling, spare parts, and preventive maintenance activities. Train employees on automated systems and support equipment launches. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
