Overview

Position Summary

The Sales Coordinator primarily supports Sales Executives and Sales Directors in their role to develop new business for Yusen Logistics. The position works closely with the branch operations, product teams, and the Sales Executives/Directors to support the full life cycle of the business development process as needed. This position is in a branch office of the International Freight Forwarding (IFF) Group.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Account and Customer Service:

    Support Sales Executives and Sales Directors in delivering custom solutions, quotations, proposals, and other information to accounts by obtaining such information from operations, products, and other internal sources.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, internal operations and sales team.
  • Assist Sales Executives and Sales Directors to ensure escalated customer inquiries related to sales opportunities are met by working with the operations, products, and U.S. and overseas offices.

Support of Sales Executives and Sales Director

  • Assist Sales Executives in preparing proposals and quotes based on customer needs.
  • Actively participate and assist Sales Executives with the implementation of new customers during the onboarding process.
  • Support Sales Executives in creating and maintaining operational SOPs, as needed.
  • Support the request for quotations (RFQ) and request for information (RFI) process lead by the sales team.


Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, associate's degree preferred.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Prior sales experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Outstanding problem-solving, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to remain professional, confident, and patient at all times.
  • Must be able to work effectively and contribute value with limited direction.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
  • Use a computer for tasks such as making updates to CRM, communicating via email and voice.
  • Present to customers and other stakeholders in a professional and effective manner.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
