Primary City/State: Deer Valley - 19829 N 27th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85027Category: Healthcare SupportShift: DayDepartment: Critical Care UnitAs a Patient Care Technician on this 24-bed Medical ICU, you will care for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, neurological, endocrine, and post-surgical patients, including cardiovascular surgery cases. This hybrid HUC/PCT role combines direct patient care with unit coordination responsibilities, serving as one of the first points of contact for patients and families entering the ICU. You will provide routine patient care, collect and document patient information, support unit operations, and collaborate closely with a highly engaged and supportive interdisciplinary team. Our ICU is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where compassion, empathy, professionalism, and strong communication skills are essential. We welcome candidates with healthcare experience as well as those who are new to the field and eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact on the patient and family experience. This position is apart-time Day shift working with 2-12 hour shifts from 6:00 AM-6:30 PM. We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable. Great care starts with great people. (Like you.) Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
