MTSI is seeking a self-motivated
Journeyman Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Advisor to support the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO) in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Are you ready to transition from reactive troubleshooting to leading-edge predictive operations? The Air Force Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) program represents the absolute vanguard of military aviation logistics, aggressively shifting fleet sustainment from a reactive, 'fix-it-when-it-breaks' mindset into a highly advanced, proactive era.
By harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), embedded aircraft sensors, and sensor-based algorithms, CBM+ predicts component failures before they happen.In this role, you won't just be maintaining legacy iron; you will be leveraging advanced diagnostics, prognostics, and enhanced reliability data to eliminate unscheduled downtime, slash troubleshooting cycles, and preemptively position parts exactly where they are needed.Joining this team means driving the decisions that prevent ground aborts, in-flight aborts, shrink the logistics footprint, and ultimately deliver a decisive warfighting advantage through unprecedented aircraft availability.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will leverage your aircraft maintenance and logistics experience to inform acquisition strategies and investment decisions that will help maximize return on investment.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Working closely with acquisition program managers, engineers, product support managers, and industry partners in an integrated product team (IPT) environment
*Aiding the development of aircraft maintenance requirements in support of CBM+
*Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities that lead to reduced aircraft downtime
*Supporting the creation of CBM+ technology roadmaps and acquisition strategies
*Helping integrate supply chain requirements to successfully implement CBM+ sustainment strategies
*Performing acquisition logistics tasks including but not limited to:
oEvaluating solutions for the 12 integrated product support (IPS) elements
oDrafting logistics requirements in support of statements of work (SOWs)
oEvaluating technical and cost proposals and authoring technical evaluations
oDeveloping presentations and briefing senior RSO logistics personnel and external stakeholders on CBM+
Qualifications Required:
*3-10 years of combined and recent commercial and/or military aircraft maintenance experience
*In-depth, practical knowledge of Air Force Instruction 21-101 Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management (or sister service equivalent) standards and procedures, or equivalent civilian aviation frameworks such as FAA 14 CFR Part 43/145
*Must possess the ability to interpret and apply CBM+ principles to complex maintenance management policies
*Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and ability to effectively communicate program strategies and status at senior level forums
Education:
*Bachelor's or master's degree in logistics, business, aeronautics, supply chain management, or other related fields
oAssociate's degree and 4 years of relevant maintenance/logistics experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
o6 years of relevant maintenance/logistics experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Desired skills:
*5+ recent years of experience possessing a 2A (Aerospace Maintenance) Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) with proficiency culminating at the Craftsman 7-level or sister service equivalent
*5+ years of experience working within a USAF aircraft maintenance unit (AMU) or sister service equivalent
*Experience working in an Air Force, sister service, or civilian aviation depot facility
*Expert at utilizing an Air Force maintenance information system (e.g., IMDS, FMXC2, etc.) or sister service equivalent
*In-depth knowledge of the Air Force Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) or sister service equivalent
*Experience working with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) field service representatives (FSRs), engineering technical managers (ETMs), and/or quality assurance (QA) to identify, document, and adjudicate technical data shortfalls
*Experience validating, verifying, and implementing time compliance technical orders (TCTOs) or the civilian aviation equivalent technical airworthiness directives (TADs)
*Knowledge of emerging Air Force efforts related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Supply Chain Analysis, Planning, and Execution (ESCAPE), and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO)
Experience contributing to fielding or integrating supply-centric aircraft configuration modifications
Clearance Requirements:
Must possess an active DoW Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
