General Summary of Position The Digital Media Program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach DGMD.1210 Introduction to Audio Production during the designated academic semester. The course introduces students to the principles and practices of audio production for digital media, including studio and field recording, microphone selection and placement, portable recording systems, signal flow, editing, mixing, sound design, and post-production workflows. Instruction may include field sound for documentary, film, interviews, podcasts, and other location-based media production. The successful candidate will provide hands-on instruction, develop and evaluate student assignments, maintain regular communication with students, and support an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
