- Supporting day-to-day building operations to ensure a safe, clean, and functional facility
- Performing basic preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems
- Assisting with routine upkeep and minor repairs on shop equipment (forklifts, weld machines, CNC equipment, and related systems)
- Troubleshooting simple mechanical issues and escalating more complex repairs to maintenance technicians
- Conducting general inspections to identify wear, safety risks, or equipment concerns before they impact production
- Handling a variety of tasks across the building and grounds, including custodial and janitorial responsibilities
- Partnering with maintenance engineers and production teams to support equipment readiness and facility needs
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, organization, and on-time completion of assigned tasks.
What You Have:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of facility, maintenance, or industrial experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
- Hands-on experience or exposure to industrial equipment such as forklifts, welding equipment, or CNC machines
- Basic mechanical aptitude (ability to use hand tools, perform minor repairs, and assist with maintenance tasks)
- Ability to identify equipment issues and communicate clearly with maintenance teams
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete work accurately and on time
- Commitment to following safety policies and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Dependability, including consistent attendance and clear communication with supervisors
- Ability to work in a physical environment (standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout the facility)

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour
