Goldman Sachs is hiring an Associate on the US events team to support its Private Wealth Management business. This role is on the highly collaborative and dynamic global events team and will be focused primarily on US-based events strategy and execution within the Private Wealth Management Marketing and Client Engagement Team to deepen client engagement, support commercial objectives, and elevate the Goldman Sachs brand among ultra-high net worth audiences. The Associate will help influence and drive the event marketing strategies for marquee, regional, and thematic client experiences across the Private Wealth Management business. This team member will partner with key leaders across the business, advisors and advisor teams, marketing team members, agencies and vendors to bring creativity, organization, and a strong commercial mindset to every initiative.

Private Wealth Management (PWM)

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

The ideal candidate will anticipate client and leadership needs, have bold ideas, is exceptionally client-centric, highly detail-oriented, organized, is comfortable managing multiple priorities and events in a fast-paced environment and is a collaborative team player. This individual should be agile and eager to offer creative ideas and solutions. We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills as they will be liaising directly with senior leadership, clients, marketing teams, and external vendors across various touchpoints. The successful candidate will leverage analytics and client insights to inform marketing strategies, measure event effectiveness, identify commercial outcomes, and develop recommendations for future initiatives. Experience translating business objectives into impactful marketing programs and content strategies is highly valued. Must be willing to travel.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Event Marketing and Amplification: Ideate, plan, coordinate, and execute event marketing strategies for in-person events for ultra-high net worth individuals and families aimed at fostering client relationships and acquiring new clients. Develop and implement integrated event marketing plans designed to enhance the experience, before, during, and after the event, showcasing the value proposition of Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management. Track event success and analyze the effectiveness of different event formats in generating leads. This includes venue selection all the way to on-site logistics, ensuring seamless event experiences. Assist with creating and updating a central forward calendar of events in PWM, cross-divisional, and external.
  • Content Development & Event Storytelling: Shape the strategic narrative for events and develop compelling content that supports client engagement before, during, and after events. Partner with content, design, and business stakeholders to develop marketing materials, and create event-generated assets such as takeaways, videos, articles, thought leadership content, and attendee communications. Conduct market and industry research to inform programming and content development.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines, budget requirements, and stakeholder expectations. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, communication plans, and workback schedules to ensure seamless execution across all phases of an event.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Events Team, Social Media Marketing Team, Content Team, Wealth Solutions Teams, GS Video, Compliance, and external vendors. Foster strong relationships across teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate project updates, timelines, deliverables, and strategic recommendations to leadership, external event planning partners, and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with marketing and other relevant teams to ensure events are executed flawlessly and in accordance with company policies. Demonstrate strong presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Governance: Ensure all event activities are compliant with relevant regulations and internal policies, including marketing guidelines and client communication protocols. Maintain thorough documentation of compliance approvals.
  • Post-Event Amplification & Analysis: Develop and execute post-event marketing and amplification strategies that extend the value of event content and insights beyond attendees. Analyze event performance, gather feedback, identify commercial outcomes, and create comprehensive post-event reports with actionable recommendations. Partner with stakeholders to translate event-generated content into scalable marketing assets that support ongoing client engagement and brand awareness.
  • EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of relevant and interesting arts and cultural events, a plus

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $85000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
