Summary

We are seeking a mid-level ION RightAngle Consultant with strong functional and technical expertise in oil and gas trading and risk management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on configuration experience within RightAngle and the ability to contribute to solution design, system enhancements, and business process optimization across front, mid, and back-office operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Configure and support ION RightAngle modules aligned with crude, refined products, and NGL trading processes
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders (trading, scheduling, risk, accounting) to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions
  • Drive and contribute to solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and system best practices
  • Perform hands-on system configuration including deal capture, pricing, settlements, inventory, and logistics components
  • Support end-to-end testing cycles (SIT/UAT), including test script creation and defect resolution
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution or escalation
  • Work closely with technical teams on integrations, enhancements, and data flows (e.g., scheduling systems, SAP, or external data providers)
  • Assist in data validation, reconciliation, and reporting activities
  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience with ION RightAngle in oil and gas environments
  • Strong understanding of physical and financial trading processes (crude, refined products, or NGLs)
  • Hands-on configuration experience in RightAngle (deals, pricing, settlement, inventory, scheduling)
  • Ability to participate in and influence design decisions
  • Experience supporting implementations, upgrades, or system enhancements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with integrations between RightAngle and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Exposure to SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools
  • Familiarity with risk management, P&L reporting, and accounting processes
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
