SUMMARY
Responsible for writing and producing marketing materials to help increase our brand awareness and facilitate effective sales and marketing through research, organization and development of materials. Responsible for creating compelling content for brochures, articles, white papers, RFPs, social media, and the company website.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our brand's tone and framework, creating clean, concise and polished copy that promotes brand awareness and supports the sales process.
Determine sources for content creation; researches industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies).
Maintain library of turn-key content resources.
Promote and leverages content across various social media channels.
Prepare well-structured drafts. Proofread and edit content before publication.
Submit work to editors and legal for input and approval.
Coordinate with design teams to illustrate articles.
Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges.
Create and provide advertisements for industry publications.
Assist with keeping all marketing, campaign, and advertising materials current.
Create presentations for various audiences including clients, prospects, industry events and Alliant education.
Openly communicate with manager and team to keep them apprised of workflow and/or obstacles to meeting deadlines.
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone) of content produced.
Assist with adapting content to work across our content mediums.
Serve as a point of contact for all internal questions on sales team's statistics and information.
Maintain Sales intranet site for Marketing.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education
and experience
Four (4) or more years of related work experience
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role, creating and curating compelling content
Portfolio of published articles
Professional experience writing narrative and descriptive content in various formats including brochures,
articles, white papers, sales materials, case studies, etc.
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Experience in insurance-related or professional services industry preferred
SKILLS
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of implementing and managing marketing strategies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong research skills
Good problem solving and time management skills
Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them to be easily understood
Ability to work within a team, lead a team when appropriate, and foster teamwork
Ability to adapt quickly and think strategically
