LAZ Parking is seeking reliable Traffic Control Officers to support operations at Burbank Airport. This is an on-call, event-based position with hours that vary based on airport activity and operational needs.

Location: Burbank Airport - Burbank, CA

Pay Rate: $24.00/Hour

Position Type: Part-Time, On-Call, Event-Based

Schedule: Monday-Sunday | Hours Vary Based on Airport Operations and Event Needs

Important Note

This position is not a traditional part-time role with guaranteed weekly hours. Scheduling is based on airport operational demands and event activity. As a result, hours may be limited during slower periods and increase during peak travel seasons or special events. Candidates seeking supplemental income or residing near the Burbank area are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Spirit of the Position

The Traffic Control Officer helps maintain a safe, efficient, and organized traffic flow throughout airport roadways, passenger pick-up and drop-off zones, parking areas, and transportation staging locations. This role is critical to ensuring a positive experience for travelers, visitors, airport employees, and transportation providers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities



  • Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout designated airport areas.
  • Assist with traffic management during peak travel times and special airport events.
  • Help reduce traffic congestion and maintain safe traffic patterns.
  • Provide directional assistance to passengers, visitors, rideshare drivers, shuttle operators, and other airport guests.
  • Monitor assigned areas for safety concerns and operational issues.
  • Work independently or as part of a team while reporting to a field supervisor.
  • Respond professionally to customer questions and concerns.
  • Follow established airport, client, and company procedures at all times.
  • Support additional operational needs and special assignments as requested.


Requirements



  • Valid Driver's License with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible, on-call schedule.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic environments.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and responsive to scheduling requests.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
