Job Summary

The Program Manager III is responsible for leading complex programs and strategic initiatives from conception through implementation. This role drives cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives by managing program scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks. The Program Manager III provides leadership throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement while fostering collaboration and professional development across project teams.

Job Responsibilities



  • Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of large-scale programs and projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders, to execute program activities and achieve deliverables.
  • Monitor program performance, track milestones, and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Lead change management initiatives and facilitate decision-making processes to support program success.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Foster collaboration and maintain strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach junior program managers and project team members, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 6 to 9 years of experience in program management, project management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs and projects from initiation through completion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and frameworks, including PMBOK, Agile, and Waterfall.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience managing programs or projects within technology, engineering, or product development environments.
  • Experience with program and portfolio management tools, including Microsoft Project, Jira, and Smartsheet.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Previous experience in leadership roles and managing cross-functional teams.
