Lead Full Stack Engineer (Senior Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services) We are actively seeking a senior-level Full-Stack Engineer and Technical Lead to support a growing portfolio of federal and state government customers. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable digital solutions that support mission-critical public services. Working closely with product managers, designers, engineers, architects, and government stakeholders, you will help shape technical strategy, guide engineering teams, and deliver high-quality software that improves how the government serves the public. This role is fully remote. At Fearless, this Senior Consultant collaborates with cross functional teams to align the technical vision, implementation, and quality of software systems across development, reliability, testing, and operations.This role will possess the skills to be able to bridge business objectives with technical execution in software development, infrastructure, security, and testing at an advanced application level of proficiency. The Sr. Consultant role will work on projects that allow them to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable solutions whilementoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and aligning stakeholders with product and project goals. Fearless Your Responsibilities in this Role: * Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of secure, scalable, cloud-native applications supporting complex public sector programs. * Provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams by establishing architecture standards, development best practices, and engineering processes. * Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, business analysts, and government stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. * Design and develop modern full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, and system integrations using appropriate technologies and architectural patterns. * Guide technical decision-making by evaluating implementation approaches, identifying tradeoffs, and mitigating technical risks throughout the software development lifecycle. * Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design sessions to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure software solutions. * Mentor and coach engineers through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and professional development. * Drive application modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, platform modernization, DevSecOps adoption, and infrastructure improvements. * Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, automation, and cloud-native services, to improve engineering productivity and deliver innovative digital solutions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI-powered features, intelligent automation, and modern application capabilities whereappropriate, ensuring solutions align with security, privacy, and responsible AI practices. * Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and production release processes. * Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and partner with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and operational performance. * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design decisions, implementation plans, and operational procedures. * Ensure solutions comply with accessibility, security, privacy, and applicable government technology standards. Work Experience Project and Skill Requirements * 10+ years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise-scale applications. * Experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar engineering leadership role. * Strong full-stack development experience using modern frontend and backend technologies. * Experience designing scalable application architectures, RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations. * Experience with one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. * Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevSecOps practices. * Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. * Experience leading code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices. * Experience working within Agile software development environments. * Familiarity with modern AI technologies, developer productivity tools, or AI-enabled application patterns and an interest in applying them appropriately within enterprise software solutions. * Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product teams, executive stakeholders, and customers. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred Experience * Experience supporting federal, state, or local government technology programs. * Experience working within highly regulated environments, including compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, HIPAA, or similar frameworks. * Experience leading cloud modernization, legacy application modernization, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives. * Experience developing technical roadmaps, solution architectures, and engineering standards. * Experience mentoring engineers and leading distributed or cross-functional engineering teams. * Experience designing, integrating, or deploying AI-enabled application capabilities, including generative AI, intelligent automation, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), within enterprise software solutions. * Experience evaluating AI technologies with consideration for security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI practices in regulated environments. * Experience supporting government proposal efforts or serving as Key Personnel on government contracts. * Active or previous Public Trust, Secret, or other government security clearance. * Experience with accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG) and secure software development practices Fearless Skills and Competencies
