About This Role
The Emergency Management Specialist develops and maintains strategies that ensure the university can sustain essential functions during emergencies and disruptions. This role helps safeguard the university's mission of teaching, research, and service by ensuring preparedness for both anticipated and unforeseen events. The EM Specialist also coordinates emergency planning, training, exercises, and outreach initiatives to strengthen campus readiness and support incident response efforts. About Us The Risk & Safety Division at Kansas State University consists of EHS, Risk Management, Emergency Management, University Police, and Physical Security departments, all cohesively working together to reduce risk and make K-State safer. Worksite Description This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law.
