Job Summary:
The Lead ESH Representative on Night Shift leads the execution of the project Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) program during the hours outside of the normal day shift hours. This involves administrative and field tasks per established industry practices, procedures, and regulatory and Bechtel requirements. The position requires practical application of occupational safety and related disciplines for managing environmental, safety and health aspects of a project. The position reports to the Field Safety Manager or designee and coordinates with the Night Shift Construction Manager. Work requires physical ability for field inspections, including walking on construction sites in extreme heat or humidity, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working at heights or on uneven surfaces, and entering confined spaces. Must be able to wear assigned PPE (e.g., harness, life vest, gloves, etc.) #LI-AE2 Major Responsibilities:
* Execute assignments during the night shift involving safety and health issues and risks, require judgment and experience in the application of scientific techniques and plans to reduce the potential for adverse impacts. Education and Experience Requirements:
* A Master of Science degree (or equivalent) in occupational safety, health, or a science-related discipline from an accredited university or college with 5 or more years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in one of the same disciplines with 7 or more years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree (or equivalent) in one of the same disciplines with 10 or more years of relevant experience; or 14 or more years of relevant safety or health experience. Required Knowledge and Skills:
