We are seeking a Clean Energy Data Senior Specialist to lead a team at the intersection of clean energy, data strategy, and program operations. In this high-impact role, you will drive the data insights, reporting, and operational rigor behind programs that support commercial managed charging and advance company and state clean energy goals. Youll work with complex data sets, oversee timely and accurate payment processing, monitor customer enrollment and program performance, and turn charging behavior data into actionable insights. This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative, detail-oriented leader to influence how E-Mobility programs scale, perform, and deliver measurable results. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead E-Mobility data modernization efforts that improve scalability, automation, data quality, and audit readiness across programs.
- Oversee analysis of E-Mobility data at the project, program, and portfolio levels to support regulatory reporting and ad hoc business insights.
- Manage data tracking, administration, and ongoing maintenance for managed charging and other E-Mobility programs.
- Develop and maintain data management solutions that ingest, validate, and transform information from internal and external sources.
- Establish and enforce data standards, definitions, and naming conventions to strengthen consistency and quality.
- Lead data integration across multiple systems, including customer meter data and third-party data files.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in resolving data discrepancies and partnering with stakeholders to close data gaps.
- Translate complex E-Mobility data into dashboards, reporting tools, and trusted insights that support decision-making.
- Continuously enhance tools and dashboards based on stakeholder feedback, evolving business needs, and regulatory changes.
- Partner with strategy, policy, program management, IT, vendors, and senior leadership to deliver clear updates and advance program goals.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders across the business.
- Hybrid schedule with in-office expectations at the Spring Valley Operations Center.
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree and 2 years of experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience or
- Associate's Degree and 4 years of experience
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's Degree in a technical discipline, such as (but not limited to) computer science, data science and/or analytics, engineering, mathematics, clean energy, sustainability, or other related technical disciplines and 2 years of experience in utility, data management, or clean energy work
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, such as (but not limited to) computer science, data science and/or analytics, engineering, mathematics, clean energy, sustainability, or other related technical disciplines and 3 years of experience in utility, data management, or clean energy work
- Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, such as (but not limited to) computer science, data science and/or analytics, engineering, mathematics, clean energy, sustainability, or other related technical disciplines and 4 years of experience in utility, data management, or clean energy work
Relevant Work Experience
- Ability to structure and analyze large and complex datasets, required.
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), required.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and proven track record of achieving sustainable results in managing projects, and process documentation, required.
- Experience with data cleaning, data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, Tableau, or similar enterprise platforms), required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of Power Query, complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and large dataset management, required.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, and various levels of management in a responsive, productive, and professional manner, required.
- Ability to clearly summarize and communicate data findings in a concise manner, required.
- Ability to lead discussions and influence outcomes across functional teams, preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments including Commission Orders, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations, preferred.
- Experience with utility billing systems and data systems, including SQL query and MDMS, preferred.
- Experience writing and interpreting computer programming language such as Python, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory and to other Con Edison/Orange & Rockland locations, as needed.
- Must be able and willing to occasionally travel to regulatory and industry meetings as required.
