POSITION SUMMARY: Lends direction to the Nuclear Medicine technologist and appropriate support staff. Also responsible to perform nuclear medicine procedures; will work under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, Nuclear Medicine Section Head and Nuclear Medicine medical director. In the technologist capacity, the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist will: Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality section/site as described in the Radiology Policy Manual. Meet the technical competency requirements for the position. - Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff. Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities. - Communicate effectively and collaboratively with physicians, peers, technologists and other healthcare professionals. JOB REQUIREMENTS Nuclear Medicine Technologist Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine license; and Current ARRT registered certification in Nuclear Medicine with RT(N) designation; and/or Current NMTCB registered certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology with CNMT designation. For technologists performing SPECT-CT Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine license SPECT-CT endorsement and/or current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine license CT endorsement and/or current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license.
