The University of Arizona's Department of Psychology invites you to apply to the role of Clinical Research Coordinator I.

In this exciting role, you will join Psychology's SEMA Lab, providing support to Drs. John Allen and Jay Sanguinetti. As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will contribute to studies utilizing a brain stimulation technique known as transcranial focused ultrasound, while demonstrating proficiency in clinical research, participant recruitment, and organizational skills.

At SEMA lab, we aim to biophysically operationalize the measurement of mindful awareness and clarify, using gold-standard clinical criteria, how these skills serve to significantly increase physiological and psycho-social wellbeing. Our research seeks to deepen our understanding of how mindfulness works and to expand access to its benefits for patients and the broader population.

The Department of Psychology, part of the School of Mind, Brain, and Behavior (MBB) within the College of Science, is committed to advancing our strengths in scientific research and science-based training. Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in recruiting, screening, and enrolling study participants who meet research criteria and coordinates participant appointments with researchers.
  • Under the direction of the PI, participate in the design, development, execution, and initial interpretation of research.
  • With oversight from supervisor, submit study protocols and amendments, consent forms, and recruiting materials to the IRB and department for approval.
  • Assist in managing database coordination and supervision of database management and research teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to coordinate research study participants.
  • Skill in using and knowledge of research databases.
