This is a U.S. based position. All of the programs we support require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment. All work must be conducted within the continental U.S.

Who we are:

Raft (https://TeamRaft.com) is a customer-obsessed non-traditional defense tech company dedicated to empowering U.S. military and government agencies with cutting-edge AI/ML and data solutions. We are a leader in autonomous data fusion and Agentic AI, with a purposeful focus on Distributed Data Systems, Platforms at Scale, and Complex Application Development. With headquarters in McLean, VA, our range of clients includes innovative federal and public agencies leveraging design thinking, cutting-edge tech stack, and cloud-native ecosystem. We build digital solutions that impact the lives of millions of Americans.

About the role:

As a Technical Recruiter, you will own full-cycle recruiting across the breadth of Raft from our engineers and technical delivery teams (software, DevSecOps, data, and AI/ML) to program and product management, business development, and corporate functions. You will be the connective tissue between our hiring managers and the exceptional talent that powers our mission, managing the candidate journey from intake through offer.

Because the programs we support are defense and national security missions, you will routinely recruit security-cleared talent and partner with hiring managers to navigate clearance and citizenship requirements. You thrive in a fast-moving environment, treat every candidate like a customer, and know how to build diverse, high-quality pipelines in a competitive market.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who loves the craft of recruiting and wants their work to directly enable missions that matter.

What we are looking for:

  • ~5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including technical/engineering roles
  • Experience recruiting in the defense tech, government contracting, or federal technology space
  • Familiarity with U.S. security clearances (e.g., Secret, TS, TS/SCI) and the ability to source and qualify cleared talent
  • A proven track record of proactive sourcing and closing competitive candidates in a tight talent market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong relationship-building skills with candidates and hiring managers
  • Comfort owning an ATS (Greenhouse preferred) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage a high-volume, varied req load with minimal oversight
  • A collaborative, low-ego, customer-obsessed mindset aligned with our Ubuntu culture

Highly preferred:

  • Experience recruiting for Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, or federal-civilian programs
  • Familiarity with modern software roles including Kubernetes, cloud-native, DevSecOps, data engineering, and AI/ML
  • Experience recruiting business development, capture, or program/product management talent
  • Knowledge of OFCCP / EEO compliance and structured, equitable hiring practices

  • Hybrid in Mclean, VA

    • Open to hiring remotely in Oahu, Hawaii; San Diego, California; Tacoma, Washington

  • May require occasional travel for conferences and on-site recruiting events

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00

What we will offer you:

  • Highly competitive salary
  • Fully covered healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) and company match
  • Take as you need PTO + 11 paid holidays
  • Education & training benefits
  • Generous Referral Bonuses
  • And More!
