Summary Essential Functions Manage contract construction project schedule to ensure work progresses expeditiously, monitor manpower requirements of both the contractor and the consultant assuring adequate resources are provided; monitor and expedite material and equipment fabrication and delivery to ensure project completion as scheduled. Manage construction project budget including extensive input and direction into the development of the initial budget and any revisions during the design phase; assume responsibility for the budget and all project transactions during the construction phase. Work closely with University design project managers and design consultants to ensure facility and infrastructure designs are in compliance with the overall programming needs of the University and the end user: ensure contract documents are complete, thorough and accurate; provide expert construct ability analysis. Serve as the "Owner's Representative" to ensure the best interests of the University are represented and the best possible finished product is achieved with minimum disruption to campus activities. Resolve design problems, construct ability problems and analyze and recommend proposed engineering design related solutions in response to changed field conditions. Shift

"A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Licensure may be required." Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, or area supportive to the building construction process is preferred. Five to seven years' experience in facility design and/or project/construction management involving construction related responsibilities is preferred. Licensure as a professional architect or engineer is desirable Must possess a valid driver's license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.
