We are seeking a highly motivated Recovery Engineer / Analyst to join our Production Services organization in a contract to hire capacity. This role is designed for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in high severity production incidents, enjoys problem solving, and is eager to grow into a long-term role within the organization. In this role, you will support and participate in major incident recovery, assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics, contribute to post incident reviews, and help improve operational resilience through documentation, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with experienced recovery managers, engineers, and domain teams across applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer or analyst looking to build deep exposure to production operations, incident management, SRE practices, and observability in a fast-paced environment. *Skills* NOC, sre, DevOps, PowerShell, Python *Top Skills Details* NOC, sre, DevOps, PowerShell, Python *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Incident Response & Recovery Support * Participate in major and critical incident bridges, assisting with triage, diagnostics, and recovery activities. * Gather and analyze logs, metrics, and alerts to support rapid issue identification. * Help track actions, timelines, and stakeholders during active incidents. Troubleshooting & Analysis * Assist in identifying the impacted service, symptoms, and contributing factors during incidents. * Perform initial analysis using available diagnostics, observability tools, and documentation. * Escalate findings clearly to recovery leads and domain experts. Post Incident & RCA Support * Support post incident reviews and root cause analysis efforts by collecting data, timelines, and evidence. * Contribute to RCA documentation using structured analysis approaches (e.g., 5 Why, fault analysis). * Track follow up actions and ensure learnings are documented. Documentation & Runbooks * Create, update, and validate runbooks, SOPs, and recovery playbooks based on incident learnings. * Help ensure documentation is clear, current, and usable during high pressure situations. * Identify gaps in existing recovery documentation and propose improvements. Operational Improvement * Analyze incident trends and recurring issues to identify areas for operational improvement. * Provide feedback to engineering, observability, and automation teams on alert quality, diagnostics, and recovery steps. * Support initiatives that improve MTTD, MTTR, and recovery consistency. Learning & Growth * Learn and apply SRE and reliability principles under the guidance of experienced teammates. * Participate in training sessions, mock drills, and knowledge sharing activities. * Demonstrate readiness to take on increased responsibility as the role progresses toward full time consideration. ________________________________________ Technical Skills & Experience * Experience in production support, operations, NOC, SRE, DevOps, or application support roles *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, SC. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
