Advanced HVAC Strategist
Join our Dynamic Team: This position calls for a highly collaborative individual with deep technical and market knowledge on emerging technologies looking to work cross-organizationally, mentor staff, and help raise the profile of CEE's work to a national audience. The position will reside in Market Transformation but will work across many departments in the organization (Market Transformation, Training and Education, Residential, and Research) to strengthen and grow the emerging technology work that we do. CEE works on a myriad of emerging technologies often including some form of heat pump technology (residential ASHPS, commercial heat pumps, heat pump water heating etc.) This role will bring extensive technology and market knowledge to help strengthen and coach many teams working to increase adoption of new technologies. This may include helping our product and channel management teams hone and improve our strategies and approaches, work with our training and education team to develop and deliver the most effective product trainings and build the best team to deliver this technology training, help to grow our training and emerging technologies work in other markets. This role will also represent CEE to national audiences at conferences and major events in networking, partnership development and engaging presentations and workshops

What You'll Do: This is a key organizational role and works cross-departmentally to raise the profile of our work at CEE, coach and mentor product development managers, channel management and training staff, grow our business in new markets and ultimately increase the impact of our market engagement and training. Core responsibilities include:
Coach and mentor product development managers and channel managers to improve our market strategies, manufacturer engagement, and distributor engagement.
- Advise and develop ETA product managers to sharpen technology strategies and approaches to collaborating with product manufacturers.
- Work with ETA channel managers to craft distributor and installer engagement strategies to increase ETA program impacts.
- Represent CEE in national working groups and associations to track opportunities for engagement and to represent CEE and ETA's interests within national working groups.
Collaborate with the Training and Education team to enhance training approaches, mentor and coach training staff, and deliver high profile training and presentations.
- Participate in training and curriculum development to improve understanding of key audiences and maximize training effectiveness.
- Coach and train trainers to deliver content effectively and engagingly, understanding key audiences and helping trainers cultivate their most effective delivery style.
- Deliver quality high profile training events and presentations.
Grow our MT, Research and Training work in new territories (Colorado, IL, WI, and California)
- Gain in-depth knowledge of CEE's work, particularly Market Transformation and training.
- Develop and cultivate relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders in additional geographies.
- Identify opportunities for CEE to grow impact in other states and help plan for growth and position CEE to successfully secure new mission aligned work.
- Provide strategy development leadership and subject matter expertise in RFP responses.
Raise the profile of CEE's work to national audiences.
- Attend and present at national conferences on strategic priorities.
- Participate in and represent CEE at national workshops and working groups to elevate CEE's perspective to a national audience.

Skills & Knowledge We're Looking For
- Direct experience with product manufacturing and distribution, ability to translate experience into engagement and collaboration strategies.
- Extensive technical and market knowledge of a myriad of different energy efficient heat pump driven technologies.
- Captivating presentation style and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated high proficiency in emotional intelligence, collaboration and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of the energy industry, and HVAC and lighting markets desired.
- Proficiency in strategic stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Demonstrated success and track record of effective business development strategy and execution.
- High degree of demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical subject matter.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including public speaking and technical writing.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and employ adaptive management techniques.
- Demonstrated experience with complex project management.
- An orientation toward teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years' experience with heat pump technologies, manufacturers, distributors energy efficiency and utility business model and utility programs.
- 10+ years' experience in training and education.
- Demonstrated experience with team leadership preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience with Market Transformation program theory and implementation.
Compensation
Depending on qualifications and experience, we expect the starting compensation for this position will be $125k-$140k.
