The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, high-quality linens, terry, uniforms, and other laundry items to support hotel operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position operates commercial laundry equipment, maintains laundry facilities, and follows established safety, sanitation, and quality standards. The Laundry Attendant plays a critical role in supporting the Housekeeping team by ensuring all laundry is processed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with brand and hotel standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILIES:

The responsibilities of the Laundry Attendant include but are not limited to:



  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items according to hotel procedures.
  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, ironing equipment, and folding machines safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect linens and uniforms for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove items from circulation as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of clean linens and distribute items to designated storage areas.
  • Follow proper chemical handling and laundry procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Keep the laundry room, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or supply shortages to management promptly.
  • Assist with linen counts and inventory control procedures.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, safety guidelines, and brand standards.
  • Support other Housekeeping operations as needed.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to work in a warm environment around commercial laundry equipment.
