Founded in 2012, Capitol Bridge is based in Arlington, Virginia and has proven expertise providing independent medical reviews, records/data management services, medical coding, administrative staffing and eligibility reviews.

Capitol Bridge is seekinga highly capable IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will provide technical assistance to our staff and duties will include ensuring optimal use of our hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, and securing data as well as advising on IT equipment upgrades. This is an on-site position in Columbia SC and will include assisting Users with PC related issues and systems access. Work with the Infrastructure Team as needed to strengthen our network. Work with Hardware/Procurement Team to deploy hardware and track on-site company Assets.



This schedule is as follows:
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST

Compensation: $24.00 per hour

Location: On-site in Columbia, SC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Consulting with IT managers and other departments as required.





  • Providing IT assistance to staff and customers.





  • Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.





  • Resolving logged errors in a timely manner.





  • Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics.





  • Updating computer software. as well as upgrading hardware and systems.





  • Maintaining databases and ensuring system security.





  • Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.





  • Keep track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.




Minimum Requirements:




  • Associate degree in an IT field and/or 2-3 years of experience as an IT support specialist or similar.





  • Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.





  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.





  • Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.





  • Proficiency in IT helpdesk software is preferred.





  • Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.





  • Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.





  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.





  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.





  • Experience with Office 365 and understanding the user accounts, permissions





  • Experience with active directory (can create new user accounts and manage permissions)





  • Experience with Outlook and other Microsoft Suite products





  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint (Ability to manage user permissions and other basic support)





  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (not looking for an expert) VLANS, DCHP, DNS
