This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Support account operations, analyzing financial data, and ensuring accuracy across client portfolios. Service delinquent credit accounts to protect receivables and minimize bad debt expense. Provides advanced support to internal and external stakeholders by managing account activities, resolving escalated inquiries and ensuring accurate and timely data processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Service delinquent or bankrupt customer accounts through telephone and personal contact, to protect our financial exposure, increase corporate cash flow, and minimize bad debt expense
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal departments to resolve account related issues
  • Analyze account data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement and to identify customers with delinquent accounts.
  • Respond to escalated account inquiries and document all conversations with customers and update account information in company databases and systems
  • Perform account updates, reconciliations and data integrity checks
  • Maintain accurate records in financial systems and databases
  • Assist in onboarding new clients/accounts and maintaining service-level standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and streamline processes
  • Develop positive working relationships with functional departments and operations and assist with providing financial support
  • Acquire knowledge in the use, development and maintenance of processes, information systems and software
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, sales or business

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
One (1) year of relevant and/or related professional experience

Minimum KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of features of service, billing system and credit/collection policies
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Good analytical and critical thinking skills
Good communication and presentation skills
Good attention to accuracy and detail
Basic project management skills
Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good understanding of the transportation industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and account management software tools
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic environment

3 or more years of experience in accounting support, client services, or administrative operation Knowledge of features or service, billing system, and credit collection policies Ability to organize and prioritize large amounts of data Attention to detail Strong human relations and communication skills Basic understanding of the transportation industry Basic proficiency Microsoft Office Suite and account management software tools Basic problem solving and negotiating skills
