Join the StandardAero Houston team and become a part of a Business Aviation MRO with over 50 years of industry leading expertise. As an A&P Mechanic (Licensed Mechanic III) you'll be supporting the maintenance and inspection of mid-sized corporate aircraft. In this role, you'll perform detailed airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of corporate jet platforms including Learjet, Embraer, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Falcon aircraft. You'll work in a collaborative, high-performance MRO environment where safety, precision, and teamwork drive success.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on business jet airframes and systems.
  • Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance.
  • Conduct operational checks, engine runs, and leak checks to verify serviceability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, and other airframe systems.
  • Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data.
  • Perform fuel tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required.
  • Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards.
  • Document all work performed clearly, accurately, and in compliance with StandardAero procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in a professional MRO setting.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbofan engine corporate aircraft as an A&P Mechanic.
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Experience working in a MRO or Service Center environment.
  • Factory-authorized training on Gulfstream, Falcon, Challenger, Embraer, and/or Hawker aircraft.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
