Job Purpose:

This position will focus on procurement for manufacturing of server and storage product material, including DIMMs, SSDs, Drives and CPUs, GPUs and PCBAs.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Analyze demand/MRP data to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities utilizing supply base and commodity specific knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with core vendors through daily communication as well as monthly or quarterly product roadmap and


  • supply/demand review meetings. Also establish and maintain good relationship with Brokers/Distributors.
  • Make timely purchasing transactions which achieve company quality, schedule, cost, and strategic objectives.
  • Work with global teams for AVL alignment, NPI builds, BOM readiness, and cost targets.
  • Partner with finance for budgeting, cost modeling, and landed cost analysis.
  • Determines root cause of parts shortages and implements solutions.
  • Resolves quality issues with purchased materials together with QA and Engineering,
  • Issues RMA and deploys corrective process improvements with vendors.
  • Maintains purchasing related data in the company's Oracle system.
  • Runs Monthly Reports and develops new reports based on management requests for both internal and corporate requirements.
  • Support sales and customer teams with delivery commitments and supply visibility.
  • Responsible for moving excess products through multiple channels in the open market.
  • Indirect Purchase Requisition (IPR) for all non-inventory purchasing
  • Quarterly cost update of all materials and inventory items in the system
  • New vendor set up with Sanmina VCCS team
  • Work with Sanmina AP to resolve the pending payments to vendors
  • Supplier performance review


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years experience in manufacturing purchasing and materials control, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Data center and Server commodity business experience preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience with Oracle or other equivalent ERP system preferred
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/deadlines and deliver high quality results.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Salary Range(annual): $80,000 - $95,000

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
