Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the full employee lifecycle with a strong focus on recruitment execution, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners (HRBP), who provide strategic oversight of HR processes, while the TA Specialist independently executes day-to-day HR activities to ensure consistent, compliant, and positive employee experience. The position supports staffing and workforce activities across assigned departments or business lines and serves as backup coverage for the HRBP's as needed. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manages full-cycle recruitment for designated roles, partnering closely with the HRBP throughout the recruitment lifecycle to ensure alignment with workforce needs and compliance requirements.
- Conducts hiring intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, selection criteria, and recruiting strategies aligned with workforce plans.
- Leverages artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools and platforms to enhance talent acquisition and HR operations, including resume screening, candidate sourcing, interview preparation, onboarding workflows, and data analysis, while ensuring ethical use, data privacy, and compliance with company guidelines and employment regulations.
- Plans, executes, and evaluates creative sourcing activities such as career fairs, student recruitment initiatives, and external platforms including LinkedIn and online job boards, while developing relationships with local organizations and community partners to attract a qualified and diverse candidate pool.
- Coordinates and extends employment and promotional offers in partnership with HRBPs, including compensation alignment, preemployment requirements, and candidate close.
- Coordinates and executes onboarding activities for employees, temporary workers, and independent contractors, including facilitating new hire orientations and completing required documentation and system entries, in partnership with and under the guidance of HRBP as needed.
- Ensures a positive and compliant candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including communication, coordination, and interview preparation.
- Manages offboarding processes, including preparing separation documentation, maintaining offboarding trackers, initiating exit task lists in HRCloud, and coordinating system and domain access deactivation, and ensuring timely and compliant employee exits.
- Administers unemployment claims, including documentation collection and response coordination, consulting with the HRBP when needed.
- Provides backup coverage for HRBP responsibilities to ensure continuity of HR services, within the scope of role authority and experience.
- Manages, analyzes, and summarizes new hire survey data, preparing insights and basic trend analysis for for review with the HRBP's to support continuous improvement efforts.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment with sourcing experience across multiple recruiting channels.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent processes.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to consistently act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Previous experience utilizing HRIS and ATS for recruitment purposes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with HR Business Partners and cross-functional teams.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of human resources, recruiting, or HR operations experience.
