Position Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Inventory all CI/CD pipelines across production, staging, and development environments, cataloging ownership, tooling, triggers, and status.
  • Audit existing runbooks for accuracy, completeness, and coverage gaps.
  • Create visual pipeline architecture diagrams and end-to-end data flow maps using tools like Lucidchart, draw.io, or Mermaid.
  • Map cross-pipeline dependencies including shared libraries, base images, scripts, and secrets management.
  • Design and conduct structured interviews and intake questionnaires with development, QA, security, release engineering, and platform teams to capture automation requirements and pain points.
  • Consolidate and prioritize requirements into a traceability matrix mapped against current pipeline capabilities.
  • Produce an optimization and consolidation recommendations report with a phased implementation roadmap.
  • Develop standardized runbook templates and sample runbooks.
  • Present findings and recommendations to DevOps leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
  • Comfort working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - you'll be interviewing stakeholders and producing documentation that needs to stand on its own.
  • Experience with diagramming and documentation tools (Lucidchart, draw.io, Mermaid, Confluence, or similar).
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, structured deliverables.
  • Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams across a compressed timeline.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Previous experience conducting interviews, surveys, or requirements gathering.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices and security scanning integration in pipelines.

Compensation Info

The U.S. hourly range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
