The IKC reporting and analytics team is a specialized group dedicated to supporting DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC), the renal population health management division of DaVita. This team is responsible for developing and communicating analytics that inform the clinical needs of our populations, track clinical operations performance, and provide data-driven insights that support our partners in optimizing Value-Based Care (VBC) programs.

The Senior Analyst acts as a project lead, and mentors others while serving as a trusted resource for UAT/QA. In this role, you will be expected to answer advanced analytical questions, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your assigned area. This role is designed for a teammate who proactively identifies business questions, executes complex analyses, and translates data into actionable narratives that drive performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Advanced Analytics & Technical Execution

  • Technical and Proactive Analysis: Identify and address business questions by formulating analytic hypotheses and designing analytic plans and methodologies. Utilize SQL to query data warehouses for validation and ad-hoc analysis, ensuring data accuracy across all reporting products. Triage and prioritize analysis based on business context.

  • Execution & Quality Assurance: Execute analyses with high accuracy and conduct timely UAT/QA of others' work.

  • Data Visualization: Translate analyses into a clear narrative with actionable recommendations for leveraging visualization tools.

  • Technical Advocacy: Help teammates elevate their technical skills by advising, coaching, and connecting them to resources. Advocate for technical tools that improve the performance and efficiency of the team.

  • Metric Ownership: Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned clinical metrics within reporting, interpreting trends and investigating root causes of performance drivers.

  • Strategic Support and Communication

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support clinical and strategic initiatives, while building strong rapport and bringing a positive and curious mindset to working groups.

  • Business Acumen: Serve as a SME in an assigned area of the business. Navigate and coordinate across functions to enable work. Interpret how circumstances across the business and industry impact work to proactively adapt. Quantifying and articulating the value generation and impact of your work.

  • Project Management: Manage several workstreams with minimal oversight. Streamline processes to improve performance and efficiency. Facilitate calendaring and lead working sessions to drive projects forward.

  • Communication & Presentation: Establish objectives for discussions and facilitate achievement. Summarize alignment and clarity of next steps. Land the "so what" messaging, catering the level of detail to the audience. Develop decks and slides that have a clear objective, narrative, and effective communication.

  • Reporting Project Ownership: Own the monthly production, QA, and distribution of ad hoc and VBC reporting. This can include querying and manipulating data in SQL, building summarized views in Excel, PowerPoint, or Tableau, and ensuring strict file integrity for leadership dashboards.

Other Duties

  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional working groups as requested by leadership.

  • Provide mentorship, guidance and training to Gemini teammates and partners

  • Help others evolve and adapt analyses as business questions evolve and barriers present themselves.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence, preferably within healthcare

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (required for data extraction/validation) and Tableau; advanced Excel skills.

  • Education: Bachelors in Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Public Health, Computer Science, or a related field required.

  • Competencies: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to translate technical data into business narratives; detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and reliability. Anticipates future needs and roadblocks, proactively navigates them, and helps the team remove challenges while assisting others in implementing solutions.

The Salary Range for the role is $76,000.00 - $104,000.00/year.
