DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on raising awareness of veterans' economic wellness and employment needs while coordinating services, partnerships, and grant efforts that support these goals. You will lead outreach, build cooperative relationships, and guide program development that benefits veterans across the Commonwealth. As an Administrative Officer 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Outreach Campaigns: Plan and run large-scale outreach efforts to educate the public on veterans' economic wellness and employment challenges
- Partnership Development: Build working relationships with agencies, community providers, and organizations to support program goals and coordinate services
- Program Coordination: Identify needed services, develop best practices, and connect veterans with support through statewide and local partners
- Data and Evaluation: Develop methods to measure program outcomes and analyze the impact of economic wellness and employment initiatives
- Grant and Policy Work: Develop grant proposals, provide training on grant requirements, and help create or revise program policies and processes
- Stakeholder Guidance: Support commissions and councils with required reports, respond to federal inquiries, and prepare corrective action plans when needed

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Your work location will be determined by the selected candidate. Available work locations include Erie, Hollidaysburg, Jonestown, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Spring City.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days in a 10-day pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to a headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualification (not required):
- Experience in veteran's economic wellness and employment focused role, including experience in outreach, grants, procurement, or community development
