DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on maintenance, repair, and custodial work that supports the function and upkeep of Troop F facilities. The role involves hands-on tasks that keep buildings, equipment, and grounds in good working order. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- General Maintenance: Perform painting, carpentry, masonry, and basic repairs to keep facilities in good condition
- Plumbing and HVAC: Complete plumbing fixes and assist with operating and maintaining the HVAC system
- Electrical Work: Install and repair lighting fixtures, switches, and minor electrical components
- Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, trimming, removing snow, and keeping walkways clear
- Custodial Tasks: Clean interior areas such as floors, restrooms, and windows and dispose of waste
- Project Support: Assist with vendor projects and help move furniture and supplies as needed

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess 2 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
